Who We Are
The Heart Group has been a leader in providing high-quality cardiovascular services to the Tri-State since 1972. We are the largest cardiovascular practice in our region.
Our 22 physicians and 8 Allied Health Specialists are among the best in their respective fields, and they work closely together to provide each patient the best possible treatment. Our staff is professional and compassionate.
We have the Tri-State’s only accredited echocardiography laboratory. We partner with Deaconess Hospital to provide additional state-of-the-art services and educational vehicles through HeartCare, LLC and the Heart & Soul program. Our research department has been recognized as being a top enrollment site in the world.
We work in conjunction with 7 area hospitals, operate 4 regional offices and facilitate 19 area clinics. Advanced surgical procedures, however, are only a part of what we do. We're interested in all aspects of your cardiovascular health, including the management and prevention of conditions. See "Your Health Library" to learn more.
We are pleased to work closely with local physicians and hospitals to enhance the cardiology services for the 11 Tri-State communities where we operate local clinics. Cardiology clinics are housed within the local hospital, and physicians are there on scheduled days. During clinic days, physicians may also be requested to see hospitalized patients for consultation. Appointments are scheduled for all these sites through centralized scheduling at 800-432-7868.

Heart Hospital
The Heart Hospital, a partnership between the Heart Group and Deaconess Gateway Hospital, is a hospital dedicated solely to fighting heart disease with new technologies and techniques. From sophisticated diagnostic cardiology to highly specialized surgery and the latest treatments for heart failure, the Heart Hospital offers the people of the Tri-State the best care available.

Team Members
The team at the Heart Group takes great pride in providing the very best care to our patients. We work to help them understand the cardiovascular system and any tests or procedures they may need, and we take the time to answer all their questions in a compassionate manner. We want every patient's experience to be the best it can be.
Our staff comprises experienced, licensed professionals from a diversity of disciplines. As of the beginning of 2009, our team included the following:
- 16 cardiologists
- 3 cardiovascular surgeons
- 2 vascular surgeons
- 4 elecrophysiologists
- 1 dietician
- 8 nurse practioners & physician assistants
- 11 testing technologists
Ongoing education helps keep our team on the leading edge. Every member undergoes a quarterly education under the leadership of a cardiac physician. And we hold monthly roundtable discussions among our physicians and mid-level providers. In addition, new medications and procedures are discussed as they become available.
